December is the winter season and plenty of tourists throng thi place to enjoy Himalayan winters and a chance to experience snowfall. This is generally honeymoon seasona and follows with more families coming in the christmas and new year holidays

Rightly said by Anjan.

In fact, it is hot destination among honeymooners in Dec-Jan. Moreover, those looking forward to their first brush with snow make a beeline for Manali.

Since, it is peak season. You need to book your hotel in advance. Rates also go up during this time.
