I would like to thank you all!!

It was really heartening to see clear & detailed responses. Special thanks to MISTRAL for taking pains of pasting a map with added details.
I would be catching Taj express from nizamudeen station which starts @7:10 AM. Looking at the responses, I think it is better to catch a taxi/auto since I am with Family.
Are taxis/Autos operated by meter or there is a flat charge? How much it would cost approx?

I stand corrected by MISTRAL, Thanks. Jangpura is the one

I think you mean to ask what's the nearest Metro station to HNZ? It is Central Secretariate . From there u can take anu auto to HNZ , around Rs 40 worth. IGIA METRO link is supposed to open any day now. Hope by the time you arrive, it starts.

@mindru, Your information is misleading.
1. The Metro station nearest to Nizamuddin is Jangpura not New Delhi.
2. All metro stations are well connected
3. Luggage allowance in Delhi Metro is 15kg and size not exceeding 60cm(2ft) x 45cm (1.5 ft) x 25 cm (10 inches) per pax. and hence not at all inconvinient unless travelling during peak office hours. In fact lot of Indian Rail commuters use the Metro to travel with their luggage.
@sudhirkalra, Nizamuddin can be reached by local trains too but the Metro service is more Comfortable, frequent, regular and reliable than the Indian Railway connectivity from New Delh Railway Station.

Hi,
People have already advised you about Nizamuddin Station, you can take metro to New Delhi Station and take local train to Nizamuddin station. IGIA has been connected through Metro Airport Express Line starting from Connaught Place to IGIA, it is still awaiting clearance from Rail Safety board, else it is ready to function immediately. Hopefully by the time you are in city it may be operasionalised.

Hi,
1. IGIA Airport line is expected to be in operation very soon.
2. Jangpura would be the Metro Station nearest to Haz. Nizamuddin Rly Station.
3. You'll however need to change the Metro from availed from Karol Bagh first at Rajiv Chowk for one destined to Central Secretariat or HUDA City Center. At Central Secretariat, you'll need to change trains for a Metro headed for Jangpura. Hope this helps.
