As this is best time to roam in the streets of Amritsar...

I suggest to must try food...
1. Lassi near Regent Theatre
2. Allo Kulcja
3. Kesar da dhaba

All are in 1 km radius of Golden Temple.

Hire a Rickshaw for 100 rs, will take you all the markets.

With a two year old kid, you need to pack the baby food which he/she might be requiring at regular intervals. Put Put Diaper on baby but that should not be too tight otherwise baby would feel uncomfortable.
Have some warm clothes for the baby. The climate is changing and it might affect the child.

Rest you can find everything on the highway. So don't worry and have a safe trip.
