prabhjot and manpreet have already told you the exact timings of the sanctum sanctorum i.e. harmandir sahib. but otherwise the temple is open 24 hours. you can sit or walk around the main shrine at any time. the langar is also 24 hours. the best good quality hotel is CJ International which is located in the golden temple parking lot. this hotel is so convenient that you can visit the golden temple several times in 24 hours as one hardly even has to walk and one is inside the temple.

Hi Yasar,

The temple compound is open 24 hours, The main central place where Gurbani is recited is closed between 10:30 pm and 2:00 am. At 2:00 am they start reciting the Gurbani and the holy book is brought in a procession at 4:45 am. The ceremony at 4:45am and 10:00 pm when the book is brought and taken back are good. The whole complex is very peaceful specially at night. Also do not miss the langar, Weekends get crowded but it will be not very crowded at night and between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, You can take the holy dip at any time durng the 24 hours and there is no need to ask the sewadar.

the gurdwara is scheduled to open as following :

4 a.m. in Summer and at 5 a.m. in Winter

and, normally the last prayer happens around 7pm-8pm.

but, if you are reaching late then even you can take the holy dip in the sarover any time, but try asking the sewadar (person on duty) before taking the dip at odd times.
