In the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh lies a quaint destination that goes by the name of Ghiyagi. Still untouched by mass commercialisation, Ghiyagi is a hit among those looking to getaway from it all and want a slice of peace and beauty. A destination that promises to take you close to the nature and to your own self, Ghiyagi is just 3 km before Shoja (on Delhi-Kullu route).

Ghiyagi is an exciting place to take long walks and to head out for treks that branch out from Ghiyagi. There are number of easy treks that one can opt for when visiting Ghiyagi. It is an idyllic destination as well, one where a traveller doesn’t have to be constantly on his toes for sightseeing lest he misses something. There is hardly anything to miss in Ghiyagi. All one can do here is soak in the beauty of pine trees and serenity of the mountains around.

Ghiyagi is little far from the usual weekend destinations; it may take you up to 13 hours to reach there. It is 8 km from Jalori Pass that links Shimla and Kullu districts. Once you pass Aut on the way, the scenic beauty around is spectacular. There are two routes to reach Ghiyagi. Either one can take the Chandigarh - Ropar - Bilaspur - Mandi - Aut route or the one that passes through Shimla (Chandigarh – Shimla - Kullu).
