Part of the Garhwal mountain range, Auli is one of the less explored hill stations in India. Located in the cradle of snow-capped mountains - prominent being Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Panch Chuli, it’s one of the very few places in India where skiing is a major pastime. With their wide-open spaces above the snowline, Auli is a skier's paradise raising the adrenalin levels.

Auli is situated in Uttarakhand towards the north of the state. The snow-clad peaks, the dense deodar and oak forests away from hustle-bustle of the fast moving cities, surely are the place to unwind oneself. One can sit for hours on end, relaxing in own resorts & delightfully enjoy the scenic vista.

Garhwal and Kumaon offer yet another exciting possibility - ski touring amongst the glaciers. Besides, the frequent thrashing that the slopes receive from imported snow beaters that keep up the silkiness of the slopes, make them a sight for sore eyes. The upper slopes of Auli host the longest ropeway in Asia which offer a panoramic view of many a famous Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Kamet, Mana Parvat and Dunagiri. It is a not-so-far, not-so-near hill getaway from Delhi, which enthrall the adventure lovers & peace seeking travellers alike.
