"Blue Mormon" is a Jungle Holiday Resort, owned by a famous Pune resident,Mr.V.K.Walse Patil, who appears to be a man with foresight & love for nature. This property is still under developement.I stayed at the Hill View Cottage of Blue Mormon & spent 3 days here.I am fascinated by the vision & planning of Mr. Patil, about his intended developement of his Holiday Resort,at this location, which is about 10 Kms prior to reaching Bhimashankar. The land, acquired by him,is getting developed as a completed Resort with flowers ,plantations, lawns, with nice staying facility, with normal hotel type accomodation in the main complex and also cottages nearby, with nice hill view. The restaurent is centrally located in main building.Food served is well made. The staff here,at all levels,is disciplined & caring.Pricewise, its mederate.I found it "Value for Money",staying here, considering all the aspects. With positive frame of mind, one will definitely enjoy staying in this Resort Hem Bhandari

1. Reasonably good all round facilities,at such remote location 2. Environment around this Jungle Holiday Resort 3. For nature lovers, its the ideal location. Sun rise at dawn, predawn sunlight emerging out of hills,is fascinating 4. Plantations, flowers, landscape within the Resort campus, speak of the great taste of the brain behind it. 5. Early morning walk within the Campus is very pleasent. 6. A small Shiva temple, within the Resort Campus, also beeing developement, with meditation or prayers facilities. 7. It appears,Mr.Patil wishes to develope this property with possible tourist facilities, giving it the shape of a botanical garden with proper landscaping 8. I feel,if this masterplan,is executed to its intended design, this Resort is going to be like an Oasis in the desert One has to experience it,to admire it. Best time is immediately after monsoon. Persons interested ,can view few of this Resort photos, form my photo galary Hem Bhandari

I,personally liked every bit of it,but I definitely have to say few words for those who look for same comforts/facilities,what they enjoy at their place of residence If one is a conventional tourist looking for all indoor comforts & hotel facilities and aminities of a 5/7 star hotels, this could be an anti climax for them. I specifically mention here, that warm water for bathing,is made available at cottages through firewood type water heaters,at morning time. If one is used to bed tea,he/she must carry their electric cattle.tea bags etc & help themselves at cottages Hot food is served at Central Restaurent. Possibilty of Room service,I can't comment,as I did not try it. One must carry few packed food & bevereges items to enjoy as per their need. There are no shopnig facilities around this location The real enjoyment is ,when/if you forget your daily life , experience & appreciate something unusual and different in the natural environment. Hem Bhandari
