With a price tag of around INR. 1700 (ex tax) on CP basis, the place is reasonably good to stay, barring incidents like giving the grounds to marriage receptions and making the life of boaders hell.
Buffet breakfast mostly is vegeterian with the only exception of omlette as a non-veg item. Menu changes every day. Replenishment of breakfast items are bit slow. Not so much varieties if food items though, one can easily go to the Indian Coffee House restaurant, about 1 kms away and enjoy a number a varieties at cheap price.
Rooms are big and clean, so is the bathroom. The rooms come with both air conditioners and heaters.
Staffs are more or less friendly.
Considering the typical drawbacks of a government property, still Tansen Residency is a good place to stay.
