Anand Retreat Resort and Shanti Raj Resort are the worst resorts of Lansdowne. We Stayed in Anand Resort on OCt-11 dussehra season in a Deluxe cottage. First of all i want to warn you that do not take big vehicle to these two resorts because the way from Gandhi Chowk (Lansdowne Market) 45degree deep slope in market after than a single car can go from Kuccha Way its very risky because its only approx 10 m Broad and is very narrow to drive one site mountain and other side Deep Valley without any support if any vehicle come from front it is very difficult to go so Please think before going to these resort no oter way to reach these resort. Service was very pathetic no room service Dustbin is just next to every room no cleaning of washrooms because safaiwala not available in peak season. baby milk was full of insects with bournvita. No refund of money if you do book through net or dealer. It is just like Bigg Boss House. Overall Lansdowne is beautiful but these hotels are bad in Lansdowne.

Excellent location and ambience. When I woke up in the morning, I felt like being laid down on a bed amidst the open jungle. Ideal for people who loves nature and quite places to relax / to find solace. Not for people who loves loud and noisy stuff and looks for a swimming pool to enjoy even in the winters !!! Limited options but very tasty food. Had a great chicken biriyani in the lunch which even some of the top-notch restaurants in Delhi would feel proud to prepare. Fully enjoyed the simple taowa roti with dry chicken masala sitting on a cot amidst the darkness of the quite jungle. What else someone needs to relax !! Excellent attitude towards service, though less number of people were there to serve much more number of cottages. The only negative part was the quality of few of the cottages. They should have maintained well and should have been cleaner. Overall, it has been a great experience for me and my family which includes my wife and 2 kids (6 yrs & 1 yr).

The resort type ambiance, you can also get a feel of camp, situated admist pine jungle, a bon fire can be arranged, you can enjoy with fire in groups, you can scream dance, do what ever you like. the choice of food is not great

Ambiance, location, setting, activities, cooperative staff

facilities at the resort are minimal, the food is simple with small variety, rooms are well placed but not very attractive, pool is not working

This is the worst place on the face of the planet to stay in. I had a very emotional traumatic experience as I am a girl and the hotel staff and especially the manager misbehaved with me. I do not want to go into further details here. Even besides that, the resort is absolutely abysmal. It doesn't have one good thing that the staff can be proud of. Lansdowne as a place is quite nice and relaxed but the retreat anand resort spoils it for everybody. It is a pathetic excuse for a resort. Please do not ruin your trip by going to this place.

I went to Lansdowne with my wife and 2 yr. old daughter. We just packed our bags one fine day and went out to search for a quite weekend getaway. Thanks to OKTTBB. The location of the resort was amazing. The staff was very courtious. The service was not that good but not considered bad. Food was quite good. We had a great fun there, playing badminton, cricket with my daughter. More than anyone else, she enjoyed a lot which made my trip.

The positives are superb location, quiet place. Best suitable for couples or for persons who want a quiet place to relax after hectic metro life. I een liked the Old Jeep that had its permanent place on the way. The activities you can perform, the cricket ground, the swimming pool, the badminton court, the views from hotel, the cottages.

The cleaniness was a big isue. Less no. of staff.
