The Jhankar Hotel is located near the Radisson and the Taj hotels at Khajuraho very near the Eastern Temple Complex - around 10-15 minutes by car from the airport It is run by M.P Tourism. The service level is as expected of Government run hotels. It is usually on the slower side. The rooms are neat and clean, air-conditioned, priced at 1200/- for a double room. Rooms have intercom facilities as well. Washrooms are clean and have both hot and cold water facility. The dining hall is huge and is clean as well. The food is of decent quality but nothing out of the ordinary. One important thing about the food is the presence of continental food in greater amount due to the presence of foreign tourists in Khajuraho. The Hotel has room service and laundry facilities and certain other amenities as well like - a) Cable TV b) Internet c) Postal services d) Conference / meeting facilities e) Emergency medical facilities and f) parking facilities both for tourist buses and private cars.
a) Proximity to the temple complex b) Good stay at affordable budget c) Clean and well maintained rooms d) Helpful staff - they helped us arrange local transport e) The flower garden upfront near the entrance....gives a good feel as you enter e) liked the continental food - the chicken roast was cool! f) Govt. run hotels have this carefree lazy approach which can be a "pain" in times of urgency but can give a great feeling otherwise, especially if you've come from places like Delhi and Bombay where everything around you is rushing at a tremendous pace!
a) Chinese food could have been better b) Time between "food ordered" and "food received" can be pretty high at times ! c) The internet connection was slow d) No good view from the hotel e) Rooms could have been a little more spacious
