Founded in 1781 AD by Thakur Zalim Singh, Kuchaman is situated on the Jaipur-Nagaur route at a distance of 145 km from Jaipur. It is well known for the impressive fort that has been converted to a heritage hotel. The place is named after the Kuchaman Fort, which used to be on the popular trade route 1200 years back.
