Best month to visit Goa

Posted on 03 Sep 2008 by: Mish
Hi All, I want to know which is the best month to visit Goa when you are travelling with Kid & also is there any good option for vegetarian, teetotaller family (in terms of hotels to stay & place to eat out)? I''m looking for relaxed holiday.

@ Rollen... well it depends...basically what do you like..It is not that there won't be any crowd in Feb in fact the atmosphere is charged up with the Goa Carnival that essentially takes place either in the 2nd or 3rd week of Feb, so that is one advantage of visiting Goa in Feb. Jan is good too...and by 1st week of Jan most of the holidaying crowd that camp in Goa for New Year leaves...so take your pick. All the best. Was this answer helpful?

People tell me is January or February the better month to visit Goa? Well I heard during Feb the crowd is reduced but doesn''t that mean all the activities would be reduced too. I mean lesser rush in Feb would make is slow and dull, isn''t it? And is January too bad due to the crowd? Was this answer helpful?

If you wish to travel during the season...then Nov to Jan are good months. If you wish to have the beaches and the churches all to your self then makes sense to visit Goa in the last week of Oct or first week of Nov. Season would be picking up then. The other time when there are not many tourists in Goa is Feb, when most of holidaying crowd would have retreated. Thanks Was this answer helpful?

...should be the winter months of December and January....when else :) ....don't try the monsoons..your kid might not like the idea of being stuck inside the hotel room .... winter is the time to enjoy the outdoors in Goa, I again say at the risk of sounding repetitive! best!
